WITNESS STATEMENT: CHEMICALS THROWN ON DOGS |
| I am with the rescue group Heaven Can Wait. in Akron, OH. As we only rescue animals from the Summit County Animal Shelter, I frequently go there to rescue, check animal availability, and observe the conditions of the pound. |
| On, or about, October 28, 2005, I went to the Summit County Animal Shelter. Upon entering the room where dogs are caged on top of each other, a worker had a section of dogs out of their cages for cleaning. Two or three dogs were not out of the opened door cages. |
| Rather than pull the dog out of the cage, the worker proceeded to throw cleaning chemicals, from a bucket, on the dogs. He then hosed the cages with the dogs still in |
